Project Description
A free sugar and blood pressure testing and medicine distribution program has been conducted with the aim of increasing awareness about the health of the community. A health check-up was conducted on local residents of different age groups in the Bhubaneswar Temple premises, Huprahaur, Ward # 4 under the joint organization of Rotary Club of Hetauda, Nepal Heart Disease Prevention Foundation and other organizations.
The participants in the program were tested for blood sugar and blood pressure and necessary health counseling was also provided. During the test, some people were found to have high blood pressure and sugar problems, so regular health check-ups, balanced diet, exercise and taking medicine as per the doctor's advice were suggested.
Local social workers, health workers and various individuals participated significantly in the program.
